GM Financial Woes Means End to Pontiac

pontiac_logoAs if a nine-week factory closure wasn’t bad enough, General Motors has decided to phase out its Pontiac brand. It’s a sad day for GM and American automobiles in general. Pontiac is, after all, the original maker of the muscle car.

I learned how to drive with my mom’s 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. First car I owned was a 1992 Pontiac LeMans. It’s hard to imagine the death of an American original, but these days, anything is possible.
