Announcing…The TMT Tourney Challenge!

Xavier Henry (1) and the Kansas Jayhawks enter the 2010 NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 seed overall. Will they lead you to TMT Tourney Challenge glory?

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for sports fans, and The Miller Times wants to honor that by presenting the TMT Tourney Challenge. Whether you’re a diehard college basketball fan or just someone who went to college or even someone who likes to predict things, this is your chance to get in on the most free NCAA Tournament contest. (OK — it’s tied for most free.)

The TMT Tourney Challenge will be hosted on Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. There is no entry fee, but their are a few rules. Here’s the instructions:

  1. Get a Yahoo! account. It’s free. Just go here.
  2. If you already have one, good.Once you’ve got a Yahoo! account, go here.
  3. The league ID# is 72183. The password is triscuits.  At this point, you’ll be able to set up your bracket. You’re in!

Now, here’s the rules:

  1. To be eligible to win, you must be a member of The Miller Times Facebook fan page. (You can join here.)

OK, just one rule. That’s it.

What are you playing for? Bragging rights, for one, but also the T-shirt pictured right. For those who don’t know, the shirt is in support of Club Trillion, the blog maintained by Ohio State Buckeye Mark Titus. Titus has been a benchwarmer for his whole four years at OSU. He and a few teammates came up with Club Trillion because when benchwarmers get mop-up duty late in a game, their stat line usually reads one minute played, followed by nine zeroes for every other statistical category. Hence, 1,000,000,000.

Proceeds from the T-shirts featured on Titus’ blog go to A Kid Again, a charity that benefits children with life-threatening illnesses. If you win the tournament challenge, you’ll receive the T-shirt and the donation will be made in your name.
